Art Exhibition - Ahmedabad
The Exhibition is for recent works by Ayesha Parikh (photographs) and Amruta Shah (painted collages).
Inauguration: 4th jan 4pm by Shri B V Doshi, well renowned architect.
Private view: 4th jan. 4pm to 8pm

Both works focus on the concept of us being 'in transit' as people. We have both studied/worked away from our homeland, India, and the different exposures when combined from these experiences, have played a huge role in moulding our perceptions today. We are still changing as people, and so are 'in transit'.
The photographs by me (Ayesha), form a catalogue of memories, which expresses various moods or recalls the days when certain realizations dawned. My works are titled as particular days when certain subtle changes shaped and layered my current state of being.
The painted collages by Amruta Shah are art work using mixed media. The numerous catalogues and magazines that come in the mail each week inform this body of work. Her works are titled in the form of a catalogue of objects of desire.

Vibrant Fashion Week - Ahmedabad - Session II
Session - I
For the first time ever, Ahmedabad was witness a very spectacular FASHION WEEK held at the recently launched The Courtyard Marriott.
Yes, in the beginning of this year. We brought you the Vibrant Fashion Week 2010, season-I. The fashion week was graced by the countries top fashion models and eminent designers.
‘Fashion week’ is a subject that has been grabbing the headlines in fashion circuits in recent times. As awareness about the concept of fashion weeks is rising, more and more brands are coming up with products that adhere to it, and more and more customers are adopting the same. Now every major state and countries are planning to have their own FASHION WEEKS along with the high-grade BRANDS involved with some unique concepts of branding.
